She began her professional career over ten years ago working under the talented Andrea Fairweather of Fairweather Faces. During her time with Fairweather Faces, she had the opportunity to work for notable companies such as BET, 20/20, and various other network television shows. Mariluz also maintained looks for numerous celebrity clientele as well as multiple presidential candidates.
As her career has progressed, so has her domain of venues. Her work has been noted on the runways of NYC Fashion Week, multiple publications and magazines and has crossed borders overseas to create looks for fashion collections and designers.
Mariluz has mastered the art of working with any skin tone and is known for creating clean flawless looks. Her philosophy for makeup is to work as if Photoshop does not exist, yielding the most precise look possible. Though she enjoys simple beauty looks, she most enjoys being able to utilize her creativity for the avant garde. Her ability to create sketches for clients has been a tremendous asset in creating the perfect piece of art.
In addition to her artistry, Mariluz is also a reputable instructor. She has headed many classes and individual instruction, leading the way for other artists and individuals to pursue their dreams of working in the makeup world or refine their personal beauty routine.
Mariluz currently resides in New Jersey, but can be found trotting the globe lending her talents all over the world.
